After the Founders' Keepers disaster, the Academy Board has called an emergency review. Their verdict: the "historical preservation incident" is somehow entirely Alden's fault. Now he's facing termination unless he can prove his teaching methods have merit at tonight's board meeting.
The Board members arrive with their minds made up. There's Lord Pemberton, who believes commoners shouldn't teach nobility. Duchess Blackstone, whose son failed Alden's class last year.
