Pan Warlow, prospecting for gold in the Mongo mountains, discovered a bonanza, but he never lived to enjoy his good fortune. Instead he blew himself up and brought about a cataclysmic avalanche. Afterwards four people lay buried under the pile of rocks in Skeleton Pass. Alongside them was $200,000 worth of gold belonging to Lanning McKenzie.
