What Happened To Hammond?

How could a dead body travel sixty miles almost instantaneously through a bitter winter's night? Chief Inspector Garth could deal with three-dimensional problems, but Hammond's inexplicable transition was beyond him. Garth called in Dr. Carruthers to see if the eminent physicist could explain the mystery. The Doctor could!
