Farewell to Texas

(1964)
A novel by

Texas wasn't big enough for gambler and gunfighter Rogate "Rogue" Bishop. He'd been invited to come to Cedar Valley to help settle the range war. But once it was over, the gunhands and hardcases were no longer welcome. Rogue figured that Mexico, some three hundred miles away, was his best bet - and that Ceder Valley would be his last troubleshooting job. Despite the fact that he was on the Texas Rangers' list, when trouble erupted at the Hatchet Ranch, the temptation for one last troubleshooting job proved too great for Rogue. The Hatchet Ranch owner's daughter is missing, and Rogue needs the handsome reward money being offered to bring her back safely to her father. Soon, the blast of six-guns rips across the valley and Rogue Bishop is in the middle of the gunfire.
