A death, sickness, an upset family vacation, and rebellion all play a part in Martha Finley's, The Two Elsies. Read how young Evelyn makes a new home with Lester and Elsie Leland after the death of her father and departure of her mother to Europe. Evelyn joins the clan at Ion and becomes close friends with Lulu Raymond. Go with the Travillas, Dinsmores, Raymonds, and Lelands to Viamede. There the many young students attend Oakdale Academy and Lulu encounters a major struggle with rebellion against her piano teacher as well as Grandpa Dinsmore. Banished from Viamede, she is disciplined by the austere quarters of the academy. Matters only get worse as Gracie and Baby Elsie come down with scarlet fever and Captain Raymond's boat is feared lost. Through it all Lulu learns obedience and the families discover God's faithfulness.
