Reed Calloway is a man of the world. He's lived with a prostitute, worked as a bouncer, and been arrested for assault. When he inherits his stepfather's business, he also inherits a business advisor, an attorney who tries to provoke Reed into being arrested again, so he can steal the business.

Determined to find the source of the guilt Gran has lived with for years, Josie searches for answers.

When Reed meets Josie, he's overwhelmed by her blond beauty and shy demeanor. He knows he should stay away, that she deserves a better man, but he can't. He's falling for her big time. He helps Josie move and finds the trunks in the attic, trunks which hold her grandmother's past and clues to Gran's guilt.

Reed and Josie are stunned when they find the source of Gran's guilt. Many years ago, Gran did something unthinkable.
