Jonah - finally divorced, I'm trying to make things right again with my son and daughter and relieved that Grant and Gisele aren't slamming doors in my face. And, yeah, really glad my older sister Zoey isn't rubbing my nose in all my mistakes. But I see her, blissfully happy with her husband returned from the dead, and at the happiness Grant has found with Francine, and can't help but wonder if I've lost my chance for that kind of connection. Until my brothers drag him to a basketball game the day after Thanksgiving and I save Phoebe from Kiss-Cam humiliation courtesy of her cheating boyfriend. And find ourselves in a holiday romance to save us both.
And then my ex-wife goes after Phoebe and my mother joins in.
Who would have thought that my father, all three of our kids and the Druid's Gift would come to our rescue?
TJ - I'm not sure which has me more frustrated - my parents or my last name. Well, one comes with the other so I guess it's a tie. But being the grandson of a younger brother of the senior Franklin? Not all you might think it would be. I don't spend my time lounging around with butlers, chefs and maids catering to my every whim. That would be my parents.
In fact, it was the staff as I was growing up who helped me find my 'calling' - kind of doing what they do. Or rather running the family version with more narrowed vision - a boutique hotel within the chain.
My parents are trying to strong arm Grant, the CEO of Franklin Enterprises and no pushover, into picking me for that venture in northern New York. Oh, and I nearly forgot the society wife they've picked out for me. Yeah, she's gorgeous, good family and all that but the only thing we have in common is our families date back to the mid 1700s. I can't get through a dinner with her so being married to her isn't happening.
Unable to take anymore, I storm out, not mature but it was that or turn over the dining room table which would be worse. And I'd still have to listen to them.
I find myself in a cafe, cold and really not sure what to do, when she asks if I'd like some coffee.
Look up and -- I fall in love with an angel named Matilda.
She has no idea who I am and for a couple weeks it's like we're in our own little world.
Until my parents have me followed and that other girl isn't happy about being rejected for a waitress.
But then Grant calls me--
