Maddie’s simmering resentment against the world seems determined to keep her down, and dealing with a mother who can’t hide her distaste for her firstborn certainly doesn’t help. When her father—the only person she can rely on—is killed in a hit-and-run, her all-consuming grief will not be silenced. She will stop at nothing to prove his death wasn't an accident, and to track down whoever was to blame…
