Mother Road

In the summer of 1932 Andy Connors, a garage owner on Route 66, is bitten by a rabid skunk. A passerby, Yates, takes him to hospital and returns to help Andy's daughters and his mistress, Leona. Yates soon finds himself defending Leona from local hostility, and falling in love with her.
