There’s something in the marshes surrounding Bayou St. John.
Something lethal.
Jackson and Angela Hawkins Crow both loved the city of New Orleans; they’d met, become partners, and then so much more because of their first case there.
It made for a great vacation for them as summer began to wane.
Except that it was to be no vacation. Because once again, someone was dredging up legends and evil, leaving a fisherman dead in many pieces and awakening stories that had their depth in the darkness and fears of history, in things that had to create evil when it seemed too fierce for the human heart and soul.
And so there they were, in the shadowy darkness of a fierce storm about to break upon the bayou, desperate to find an innocent young woman. Cypress and mangroves tangled with the shadows as fierce howls burst through the night.
Was there a true monster in the wilds of the marsh, a rougarou ready to tear the innocent to pieces?
Or was something else, even worse, at play?
Genre: Paranormal Romance
