Detective Inspector Percy Peach, aggressive and bouncy, is unimpressed to find his new detective sergeant is a woman, especially as Lucy Blake proves to be more than a match for her formidable boss. The first assignment for the unlikely duo is the case of a nineteen-year-old girl who had disappeared without warning from her home. Her body has now been found at the bottom of a deep pond. While investigating those who were close to the girl, Peach and Lucy begin to work out their own relationship, but find the truth behind the mystery is as unexpected as it is chilling...
