Soulcircuit is the novella length final installment in the Travelers Series by Al Hess.

With her soul inserted into a brand new cloned body, the Librarian has defied death. She is starting again in a second life along with her cloned consort, Seth, and the leader of their Order, Davith. But her best friend—Davith’s husband, Ivan—hasn’t caught up to the rest of them. Ninety-two and suffering from dementia, his kindly nature has devolved into bouts of confusion and violence. He isn’t cognizant long enough to consent to a mercy transfer to a new, healthy body, and Davith is beside himself without Ivan’s love.

The Librarian is determined to find a solution, but Ivan’s mental decline only highlights how her own memories of her first life are fading. The tighter she clings to the past, the more it slips through her fingers, and she’s increasingly certain she’s unworthy of this second life.

A chance discovery of an ancient relic from an American god may hold the key to solving her problems—if she can figure out how to use it.
