A Long Way to Fall

The plot for this novel was suggested by a famous British murder case from the 1930s where a young chauffeur was convicted of killing his employer. Updating the action to the 1970s, a young fisherman employed on the yacht of a film producer ingeniously kills his employer, and later marries the widow. But when she too dies in mysterious circumstances, he finds himself accused of her murder instead.
