Swift Radiance

(2023)
(The fifth book in the Origins of Supers series)
A novel by

Camille Washington, Cami to her friends, was almost eighteen when she quickened. All her life she’d wanted to be a superhero, when most of the rest of her family weren’t. They were healers, with powers built around protection and healing. Except her great great great great great great grandmother, Debra Washington, AKA Angel. Cami wanted to be like her.

Fortunately, she did quicken with her mother’s powers, and not her father’s who was a mad scientist. The only problem is there are no openings for supers, so her and her friends decide to join the academy and do a stint in the military first.

Then the unexpected hit, and that’s where we start Cami’s real story. A random encounter, leading to death marks being placed on her head, and the heads of her best friends. Death marked by evil people, beyond the reach of the government for several reasons.

She’ll have to survive the next couple of months, if she had any chance to make it to the academy that year, or at all.

Author’s note: This is the fifth book of a
clean superhero series with no mature content. Each book will be a new standalone novel of different supers, and their origin story and first steps, all in the same world during turbulent times of change. Although each independent story can stand alone, the world building and timeline will involve spoilers from past books so they should be read in order.

Genre: Science Fiction
