Note: While this book's setting is in a gamelit-type world, there are no status sheets, levels, or trackable character cultivation. It does have monsters, dungeons, bad and evil people, trades, quests, battles, large unit battles and military campaigns, loosly implied adult relations, and worst of all, politicians.
Dale Rentoran’s world changed from the Earth we know today into a world with no technology higher than what can be created by a blacksmith. No electricity, no electronics, no internal combustion, and no firearms. A world now full of gods, monsters, and dungeons. All of this had little initial effect on Dale, as he was growing up on a low-tech, horse-powered farm.
The youngster would have been more than content to spend his life right there on the farm, raising and harvesting his crops. First, his mom is killed by a monster. Several years later, his dad disappears when out hunting. Now fifteen, Dale is fully ready to run his farm, but the relatively inexperienced farmhands employed by his dad decide they know Dale’s farm better than he does.
Dejected and angry, Dale decides to leave the farm and climb the nearby volcano he has gazed upon for his entire life. At the top of the peak, he goes through an event that throws him into the world of an adventurer. One full of monster fights, taking on quests, and dungeon runs. Maybe even a world full of love.
