The one time I am sent on a mission to an alien planet I’m assigned the grumpiest alien in existence as my personal bodyguard.
Agon is a scarred, grizzled Dragan warrior who can’t seem to leave me alone. I’m the ship’s botanist, and the alien makes it very clear that he considers my job a hobby gone wild. Every single day without fail the warrior stops by my wild, overgrown garden to let me know just that.
He gets under my skin like no one else. It doesn’t help that he’s also wildly attractive and that my heart flutters every time the giant alien strides past my garden and scowls.
When we finally get into a huge fight, the ship’s captain has had more than enough of our endless bickering. His solution is simple.
It just so happens that our ship has to make some emergency repairs, and we’re hovering above a lush and uncharted alien planet.
We are to travel to said alien planet.
Together.
Just me and Agon, and a wild and dangerous planet for us to discover.
