Lee Gibson is 15 and is regularly picked on at school by a trio of bullies who guess that he’s gay. Luckily, he’s rescued by Kerry, an older girl with anger issues. Kerry invites him to join a friendship group she’s just set up, and that’s the start of the Misfits, a group of teenagers who all feel themselves to be outcasts in some way. The others include Wolfie, who is wheelchair-bound; Fatima, an immigrant from Syria; and Josh, who is mixed-race. The seven group members become close friends and start to support Daisy, a local homeless woman who has started to sleep in shop doorways. When she goes missing the Misfits set themselves the task of finding her. Little do they know that they are about to spoil the plans of a local criminal group, people who are violent and unscrupulous.
Their adventures start here, in this page-turning, incident-packed story for teenagers.
Do you feel yourself to be an outsider of some type? Maybe you feel yourself to be different from your peers in some way, a little lost in today's complex social world. Read about how this small group got together and support each other, having adventures along the way.
