This is the third story released as part ofThe Undead Presents a project publishing fan-written fiction set in the world of RR Haywood’sThe Undead.
"A refreshing and highly original story. Very funny!" - RR Haywood.
"A wonderful blend of gruesome horror and laugh out loud comedy. Couldn't put it down!" - Andrew Brehony. Author of Escape From London
"Jeeves & Wooster meets the zombie apocalypse," - Albie Payne. Author of Time To Wake Up Mickey
Five days into the outbreak, Francis Lanchcombe, the newly ennobled and thoroughly unprepared 20th Earl of Lanchcombe, finds his crumbling ancestral home surrounded by the infected.
With only two servants left alive and his even less dependable brother Jezza, Francis realises that titles and class won’t win them any favours. So he rebrands himself as ‘Frank,’ adopting what he imagines is a working-class persona, and leads the group into the chaos beyond the estate gates.
What follows is a hilariously short road trip across a not-very-large corner of England featuring a dog named Mungo, an eccentric cast of survivors, and more mayhem than manners. Nobility skewers the absurdity of class, survival, and British politeness in the face of the undead.
Written by accomplished and highly talented author Graham Toseland, Nobility is a darkly comic tale of razor-sharp wit, frantic action, and surprising heart.
Will ‘Frank’ discover the man he really is, or remain just another useless aristocrat.
Genre: Horror
