If Adelyn had known that her new employers weren't human, she never would have taken the job. Probably.

Unfortunately, she's found herself caught in the middle of an all-out underground war between a species of paranormal-hunting monsters known as guardians and a reclusive species known as daemons.

Now, instead of focusing on paying off her debts and getting her life back on track, she has to decide whether she should trust the daemons - including their powerful leader with one hell of an anger management problem - or throw herself at the mercy of the guardians and hope they haven't already labelled her a traitor to humankind.
