A discovery of alien technology in Antarctica sets Earth on a secret race to the stars as the corporation that makes the find keeps it hidden from the planet while recruiting the best Humanity has to offer into the new Star Force corporation. Billed as facilitating the colonization of space for the common man, the organization has a secondary purpose...to build a space military to defend the planet if and when Earth's previous owners decide to come back, and to keep it away from the politicians that muck everything up without fail.

A group of 100 recruits is formed to train in a secret space academy to become both super-soldiers and space fleet commanders. Later known as Archons, they will lead and help grow Star Force from a single planet entity into a space empire large enough to hopefully defend Humanity against the V'kit'no'sat who abandoned their Earth colony long ago. They still control half the galaxy in their galactic empire and could squash us flat if they take notice that we're out here without their permission.

Humans are one of their slave races, and some were accidentally left behind on Earth when they pulled out. Our entire population is thus illegal and subject to termination.

And to make matters worse, we already know who the V'kit'no'sat are. We hilariously misinterpreted the finding of their bones on Earth, thinking they were long extinct. The V'kit'no'sat are the Dinosaurs, and they're very much alive elsewhere in the galaxy waiting to kill us if they find that we've slipped their leash.

First we have to build, train, and expand out into the stars...hopefully all before we're noticed. But before that Star Force also has to deal with the nations of Earth who are not interested in peaceful space colonization. They want war and see space as the perfect venue for it so they can leave everyone on Earth out of bounds and safe while they pursue old hatreds and rivalries in the military playground of the Solar System while the major threat lurks elsewhere in the galaxy, known by only a few.

What is also known only by a few is the V'kit'no'sat do not grow old. Their technology is so advanced that they can live forever if they're not killed...and so will the Archons, so their selection and training is paramount to all else. Follow them on a space adventure like no other in the series that redefined the standard for civilization building and military space opera.
