The first time rookie detective Alice Black pursues a serial killer will also be her last...
The killer lures his victims into a hallway he aptly refers to as the Rabbit Hall while sporting a Cheshire Cat mask with an odd grin. He then imprisons them in the cellars of abandoned asylums and invites strangers to witness their agony before they die.
After utterly failing to catch him for six years, the police department decides to hand the case over to inexperienced investigator, Alice Black.
Why?
Not only did the killer kidnap Alice as a child, and she miraculously escaped, but he is also the reason why she became a detective in the first place.
But Alice has no idea what the Cheshire Killer has in store for her, nor does she know that she never really escaped—but he let her go...
Alice will stop at nothing to catch him because this isn't about a killer who kidnaps girls. It's about a killer who is the only one who can tell her who she really is....
