Here we go.
So your plot is good, but what if the bad guy got caught because he kept a momento and then someone saw him wearing it. Wouldnt that be the best twist ever?
She raised her eyebrows, nodding. It was actually a bit cliche because every serial killer kept a momento. David and Alicia liked to focus their stories on detective work, so their protagonist would put together little clues to figure out the truth. Once in a while, they used a lucky break, but they got much better ideas from talking to Trent and Mark about police work.
Elliot went on, playing out his scenero and rewriting the ending of her book. Alicia just kept nodding, feigning interest, while hoping someone else would come buy the last copy.
And then this little girl would see him wearing the necklace and yell for everyone to look
Wait, she stopped him, but then she didnt know why. Something about the necklace detail felt odd, like shed read something similar in a novel before. What if Elliot had read that twist and was hocking it to her as his own idea?
She was almost laughing inwardly until she looked back at his face. His eyes gleamed with something she didnt like. Unable to stop herself, she took a step backwards.
