Itinerary: Sabotage

(The second book in the Adventurer Cruise Line Cozy Mysteries series)
A novel by

Captain Miles Saunders wasn’t a happy camper. No, he wasn't happy at all.

He'd been working for Caribbean Destiny Cruise Line for three years, sharing the duties of Captain of the Destiny (the only ship in the Line) with Captain Joe Edwards who owned the company, and it had been a sweet gig - one month sailing between six islands in the Caribbean, and one month off. The pay was good, better than he'd get elsewhere.

When Joe's father gave the tiny cruise line a huge infusion of capital and the operation suddenly grew to four ships, none of them sailing in the Caribbean, Miles was pretty pleased. His generous salary stayed the same, and he'd be sailing out of Tahiti, cruising French Polynesia.

The Destiny went into dry dock in Trieste to be refurbished from a three star rating to five stars, and Miles was pretty happy about that, too.

But he didn't stay happy for long.

One look at Fortune, one of the three ships the Edwards family purchased in Europe, and Miles was steaming.

Fortune was larger, newer, and nicer than Destiny could ever become. Fortune was a six star cruise ship if ever Miles had seen one, and as the most senior Captain, after Joe of course, Fortune should be his. One of the new Captains should take Destiny, but Daisy and Lauren Edwards, who ran the company between them, didn't agree.

As Miles sailed Destiny back to Fort Lauderdale, he plotted ways to sabotage Captain Rick Dawson, make the man look like an utter fool, and get himself promoted onto Fortune.

But strange things started to happen aboard Destiny as Miles sailed her through the Panama Canal, up the coast of Central America and then across to Papeete, Tahiti.
Miles became sure somebody was sabotaging
him and he didn't like it.

Neither did World Adventure Cruise Line's Chief Security Officer Savannah Green. She was on board to make sure Destiny's Security Team was up to her tough standards.

She agreed with Miles that somebody was up to no good.

The two of them were determined to find out who it was, why they were doing it, and stop all the nonsense before they got to Papeete.
