The man stood back in the trees near the house. Ever since Selene had asked Wayne for a divorce, he had been there, watching with some terrible sense of purpose.
Selene knew that Wayne didn't oppose the divorce because he loved her, but because he didn't want to lose his position with her company or his present lifestyle. Wayne must have hired this man to spy on her, but why? That night, when an intruder breaks into her house, it dawns upon Selene that the reason might be murder.
