Death in Snake Creek

(1994)
(The eighth book in the Blood Bond series)
A novel by

Snake Creek is a shabby little town, a dot on the Texas map almost as ugly as its name. It's the center of the outlaw empire of King Petty, a mean-tempered madman who's fast with a gun and as deadly as a stepped-on rattler. Petty and his gang do what they want, when they want. And right now Petty wants the pretty widow of the homesteader he just put six feet under. Snake Creek is also a great place for fishing, especially for Matt Bodine and Sam Two-Wolves, blood brothers and natural warriors whho've drifted north for greeen grass and real trees. But before they can drown some worms, they're suddenly standing in for the law in a place where the only law is King Petty. It's a surefire formula for flying fists and blazing guns. A fight Matt and Sam never meant to start, but are hellbound to finish.
