Vekal, a Sin Eater, is the last remaining warrior priest. Trained from a young age, he is both feared and reviled for his otherworldly skills.

Vekal has dedicated his life to purging wrongs and offering redemption to sinners, but those abilities may prove to be both a blessing and a curse. After being possessed by a demon, he's torn between what he knows to be right and what he's been led to believe.

With the demon inside, Vekal's skills are magnified tenfold and put to the ultimate test, pitting him against his natural inclinations and the demon's own desires. Their uneasy symbiotic relationship puts more at risk than just Vekal's mortal soul. For the demon wants to reach the gates of heaven, and will drag Vekal along even if it kills him.
