She likes the uniforms...but that's about it!
Janie Nolan is not a baseball fan. Nope, not the least bit interested in the sport except for the nice way the tight pants fit those athletes. So the fact that she ended up running a store called Round the Bases, dedicated to all things MLB, was something she never anticipated. But her grieving brother needs her help, and she cares enough to put her own dreams on hold to take care of his. And who knows? With a dare from her best friends, maybe she will actually let down her guard for one of those hot players and take a shot at getting something more than an autograph!
He's tired of being a target...
Riley Kelleher always wanted to play baseball and his dream has come true as the pitcher for the Louisville team. But being a sports star also brought him some major heartache. Due to an ugly breakup, he's not looking for romance. He just wants to play out his career before his shoulder goes out on him completely. Then he meets Janie Nolan, who cares less about what he makes and more about who he is, and he falls hard.
But it's hard for "Just Janie" to believe he really wants her and not some rich socialite or supermodel...and Riley's not terribly happy about being the subject of a bet.
They'll have to both hit a home run when it comes to romance or risk striking out for good!
