A novel by

Stephana Neatby-Nevitt knows that she's more than a little accident prone but doesn't anticipate the series of problems she faces when she embarks upon a journey to escort her aunt home, and finds herself crashing into the middle of one of the Star Elite's investigations.

The Star Elite are searching for Richard Rumbold, a missing member of the criminal Hitchings' Club, who've been abducting children and selling drugs for several months. Unfortunately, in his quest to track the missing fugitive, Ellis finds himself not just battling to avoid the injuries Miss Neatby-Nevitt seems determined to cause him, but fighting to keep her alive too. He knows she's a danger to society, but more importantly to himself. She turns his entire world upside down to the point that he knows that he's never going to view his life in the same way ever again, especially when it becomes evident that Stephana has landed herself in a heap of trouble with Rumbold.

When Ellis finds out that Stephana's been meddling in his investigation, he's tempted to leave her to Rumbold's dubious care. As far as he's concerned, if the man survives until dawn, he deserves his freedom. However, Rumbold is a killer. Ellis knows that if Stephana does anything to threaten the child smuggler, she's going to end up dead.

Can he find her and keep her alive, and more importantly himself alive with so much working against him, including Stephana?
