Nick Medea had always assumed that the Gate only opened between his Chicago in the 1920s and dark Feirie, but the dragon had known better...not that he would have ever told Nick. Under certain circumstances, the Gate could open to other worlds...including one from where a shadowy stallion calling himself Darkhorse roamed, and another where a minotaur named Rath sought only to find his brother.
However, it is neither the shadow steed, Nick, nor even Rath who has crossed through these gateways, one after another, to begin with, but rather something else that has forced open ALL the paths for its own purpose.
A purpose that, if not checked, could bring catastrophe to all.
