Luna Thorn has a lot on her plate.
Between construction at the Cathedral — she’s getting a second greenhouse, thank you very much — and all the pesky time travel stuff she’s been dealing with, she doesn’t have time for much else.
Of course, that’s when her boyfriend, Jesse, has a past girlfriend show up … and she seems interested in getting her high school paramour back. She’s going to ply him with baked goods until he sees things her way, at the very least.
Luna would love to work up a full head of jealous steam, but she has one other problem to deal with. It seems she’s fallen victim to a bad luck curse. What’s worse is that she’s not the only one suffering.
A myriad of do-gooders—people who donate their time and money to help those less fortunate, like the homeless—are literally being jinxed to death. And who is investigating it? The one man who has something to gain if he can cover up the death of Luna, along with the others. That’s right, her father. He’s knee deep in jinxes and jealousies of his own.
The Grimlocks are determined to keep Luna safe, whatever it takes, even as she’s determined to keep her distance from them. She won’t let her bad luck rub off on the people she loves most.
With time running out, though, Luna is her own worst enemy. It’s going to be a fight to the finish to figure out who jinxed her, and what that means for everybody Luna holds dear.
Something evil is afoot in Detroit, and it’s coming for Luna. Again.
