I am Garren Holt: Home Builder. System Glitch. Accidental Administrator.
Bastion still stands, the girls are settling in nicely, and all I want is to lay some cornerstones, stock the larder, and maybe catch a breather. The Empire had other ideas, cutting our supply lines and slapping a target on my back. Meanwhile, my System is glitching in ways no one can explain, Bone Daddy is evolving into something the bestiaries don't have a name for, and a pair of Imperial spies just tried to stir up trouble in my own town.
The answers to most of my problems are buried in a thousand-year-old research site and in the soul of the man who built the System itself. Turns out I wasn't pulled to this world by accident and the original architect wants his keys back. He can go take a hike, if you know what I mean.
