Death Under Desolate

She landed on an unknown shore, which was shrouded in sea mist. Silence was everywhere; the only sound was the lapping of an idle sea on shingle. She came to find life, but when the mist cleared she found only the wreckage of where it had once been. She had come to answer a strange advertisement for a navigator, but found no one to meet her in this nightmare land. There was nothing but the charred bones of human dreams - and the only navigator was Death.
