One of Lymington's most ingenious novels - an end-of-the world nightmare fantasy. A dissident writer is put to death, his heart donated to the Prime Minister, his brain installed in a small publishing house's gargantuan computer. The computer publishes a book consisting entirely of dots, interpreted by each reader according to their hopes, dreams, and fears. Further, an experiment involving "test tube babies" goes horribly awry. Lymington's sense of humor scores a bull's-eye with the pompous absurdity of government officials, scientists, the clergy, etc. and brilliantly offsets the horror of a many-layered crisis. Bravo! 192 pages.
