When Adam Yoder goes out on his rumspringa, he finds himself courting Catherine Herschberger. As much as he believes he will marry her, there is a problem. Their families have been feuding for many years, at least since Adam was born. He knew his father wouldn’t have been happy to hear who he had started courting, but carefully laid plans are thrown asunder when he receives a letter from his dad telling him that his grandfather has passed away. He is needed on the farm immediately.

However, a cloud of uncertainty hangs over her as she struggles to reconcile the fact that she loves Adam Yoder with the fact that the feud would prevent her from marrying him. Part of her wants to just marry him, regardless, and part of her wants her father’s approval.
Can Adam and Catherine find a way to end the feud between their two families? Will they ever be able to court each other in the Amish community? Will they leave the Amish community to be able to court each other or will they fall in love with other people?
