Brigitte White is very excited about this Christmas season. She has gotten the principal part in a ballet that she has been aiming to get for years. She’s the sugar plum fairy in a production of The Nutcracker. And she has poured her heart into this part. When she decided to celebrate Christmas early with her family because of the performance dates, she never expected that she would end up getting in an accident.
She ends up getting stranded in an Amish community she had been entirely unaware of. There, she meets Amos Yoder, and Rachel Yoder. Amos, in particular, catches her attention. He’s only two years older than she is, and she wonders why he catches her attention.
When she gets news that her car won’t be ready in time for the performances, her whole world feels like it’s falling apart. She has a passion for ballet.
