With her love life reasonably sorted and her focus on work and Rowan Mallory, Daisy happily takes on a new job investigating a psychologist who’s accused of tampering with a jury for a murder trial. But when one of the suspects involved turns up dead, Daisy finds herself yet again in the middle of a homicide investigation, while juggling Rowan’s daughter, Ivy, his ex-wife’s displeasure and the task of working with the Vermont BCI and her favorite FBI agent while doing her best to keep her perspective.
