U.S. Deputy Marshal Del Cole and wife, Elena, and son, Carlos, visit Mexico because Elena's father is dying. Del is arrested there and Don Rodrigo Vega, a man Elena was promised to marriage eighteen years before, takes Elena and her son into his hacienda as supposed guests. After a few weeks, Will Fain realizes the Cole family must be in trouble, so Will and Isum go to Mexico to rescue the family.
