Samantha supposed her beloved godfather had known what he was doing when he left her the controlling shares in Farrell's, his huge department store-but how she wished he hadn't done it! For he had also stipulated that she should work in the store for a year, which threw her continually in the company of his nephew Zachary Farrell, who was now head of the business.
