Brynn Walsh is an influencer, an optimist, and—as of this evening—a character in someone else's book.

Falling through a portal into her best friend's unfinished manuscript was not on her content calendar. Neither was meeting Marcus Sterling, a man so deeply committed to being unpleasant that he's turned it into a personality. He's Summit Ridge's most powerful businessman, and he's currently starring in a PR disaster with four million views and counting.

Brynn's solution is to go on camera and turn his image around. Except, they have one cute on-camera moment and suddenly the internet is obsessed with them. Enter the fake dating. A little warmth for the cameras, a lot of strategic sunshine, and nobody has to feel anything real. Marcus agrees in order to save his business. Brynn agrees because she's stranded here anyway—her ex is after her in the real world, and going home isn't exactly an option right now.

It would be a perfect plan, if the villain would stop improvising, the internet would stop shipping them so aggressively, and Brynn could stop noticing that Marcus is significantly more interesting than Charlotte wrote him.

Genre: Romance
