I needed a villain for my book. I accidentally fell for the one standing behind me.

I built my career writing meet-cutes, happily-ever-afters, and cinnamon-roll heroes. Then I decided to write my first dark fantasy romance.

The only problem was that I had absolutely no idea how to write a possessive villain, simmering tension, or the kind of chemistry that made readers kick their feet and blush.

Luckily for me...
The mob’s deadliest enforcer had already decided I was his.

He wore a devil’s mask. I saw him as my shadow daddy.
Need to know what it felt like to be cornered against a wall by a dangerously obsessed man? He volunteered.
Need to know how close was
too close before someone lost all ability to think? He had very strong opinions.
Need help writing a scene that made readers swoon? He insisted on ‘demonstrating’ every detail.

Somewhere between coffee-fueled writing sessions, suspiciously perfect timing, and his habit of appearing wherever I happened to be, I stopped wondering why a man who hunted monsters had become so obsessed with protecting me.

Maybe it was because I wrote villains. Maybe it was because he was one.
Or maybe the biggest plot twist wasn't the book I was writing...
It was realizing my fictional book boyfriend could never compete with the man stalking his way into my heart.

Autumn Ritual features an obsessive stalker, a quirky indie author, a sizzling attraction, and a love story with a cozy darkness. This is a standalone dark romance novella with morally grey choices. HEA guaranteed. Check TWs!
