Angus MacVicar was a prolific and much loved author whose enchanting stories captured the very essence of Scottish life. He lived from 1908-2001. MacVicar lived most of his life in the village of Southend. After attending the University of Glasgow he went on to work for the Campbeltown Courier. He is the author of The Screaming Gull and The Ten Green Brothers.
