I was due to take over from my father,
To continue his legacy within the club,
But somewhere along the way, I lost my sense of direction.
We all lost someone we loved, but I took it the hardest,
And I blamed myself.
I went downhill, got into trouble more times than I can count,
Even doing a stint or five in prison,
And I wanted out of the club life.
I didn'''t think I deserved the president's patch,
But my brothers refused to give up on me,
They fought for me and encouraged me to go for a ride,
A ride that changed my life.
I never wanted to settle down, I never wanted to fall in love,
But then I met hermy saving grace, my Little Bird wanting to fly.
She became the reason why I breathe,
She became the reason why I healed,
And she becomes the reason why I want to live,
And God help anyone who tries to take my Little Bird away from me,
Because where she is concerned,
The monster will come out .

Ballet has always been my dream,
To feel music within me, to feel freedom as I move.
I become one with myself, and peace fills me,
And I wanted nothing more than to have my mother’s support,
To show her how good I am,
At times, I feel like I am never enough, and sadness settles in,
Breaking my spirit.
In my mother’s eyes, I should be a stay-at-home mother,
I should be waiting hand and foot for the husband that she chooses,
I should be raising babies,
Not dancing around with fruitless dreams.
The more I ignored her, the more she focused on my sister instead,
And it hurt, but despite the hurt, I refused to give up my dreams,
I refused to give up my dancing, and nothing and no one could change that,
Until him.
He came out of nowhere and was suddenly all that I could see,
He embedded himself in my life,
And in my heart.
Growing up, I was used to relying on myself,
I was used to being let down,
So how do I let in a man who could become my whole life?
This can be read as a standalone. It is book 1 of 7 of the Carnage MC Series, with a HEA. Due to mature content and themes, this book is recommended for readers aged 18+; this novel may contain triggers.
