Some appetites can never be satiated.

As Boyd Paine stoically continues with his plans to reopen Larson's Shed, his experiments with the giant mutated crabs that he hopes to serve to his restaurant guests continue to bring him trouble. He is well aware that his dark past might tap him on the shoulder at any moment, but he's also banking on dumb luck to keep him safe.

As a lifelong outcast, Tony Bunt has learned to be watchful and observant. If his arrogant boss at Larson's Shed took the time to ask for his opinion, he might be able to point out a few little details that he appears to have overlooked. Still, it's not really any of his business and for as long as he's collecting his paycheck, he can keep his mouth shut.

Meanwhile, the numbers of people going missing in the area around rock-strewn, wild Larson's Cove are on the rise. Young Billy Tranter has been warned by his parents to stay away, but youthful curiosity keeps pulling him back. Dead and missing people are intriguing, and so are giant crabs.

Something bad is going down in the small town of Meadowville, and that rapid downward spiral is soon going to be difficult to halt.
