A long-pondered mystery is about to morph into a horrible reality, and that reality won't be contained.

Struggling TV studio VJC TV is desperately seeking a ratings booster before the studio goes under for the last time and never resurfaces. With a low budget and not much time to prepare, they seize on the idea of hosting a survivor series on an uninhabited island in the Bermuda Triangle.

After a brief visit to Survivor Atoll to determine its suitability as a location, the casting begins. A diverse group of people are selected to compete for the prize pool but again, a lack of funds results in a rushed pre-production process. In the meantime, an abandoned yacht has been found drifting close to the island and there's no sign of its two crew members.

A last minute disruption in planning means that Pete and Maven, two senior members of the VJC staff, are hurriedly rushed to the island to pose as mystery contestants along with the other competitors. Pete was left with questions and a vague sense of wariness on his last visit to the island and it's not long before that tension returns.

There's something out there in the ocean and whatever it is, it's becoming increasingly interested in the activity on the island.
