Cheated Hearts

Country mouse Lucy Drake and urban fox Sue Stockland have no idea of each other's existence although they are both in love with the same man, Paul Meyer.Then Paul is found dead from a heroin overdose in a Soho alley. It looks like accidental death, but police Inspector Guy Dugdale, who knows Paul's past as heir-apparent to gang boss Big Saul Kramer, suspects murder. When Lucy and Sue find out about their lover's double life, both tell Dugdale that the other is Paul's killer and both find themselves romantically drawn to the policeman.But there's another suspect: Paul's estranged wife, club hostess Vita Virgo whose motive is money. And before it all can be disentangled there is further violence to be faced.
