“It is the dawning of our final project, my students,” Ms. Kelly stated with an eerie calm to her voice. “The last step to returning balance to this realm. The Dark Witch is vulnerable now.”
Laney’s spine straightened.
Ms. Kelly continued. “She is more desperate than ever. She’ll stop at nothing. But we have the means to defeat her now.” She glanced at Shane and me. Then at Tommy. “But we’ll need the UMAs to come back together as one, with the power of all your gifts combined.”
I swallowed hard, hanging on her every word.
She took a deep inhale and said, “And now we begin, my students, our final project—Ending the Dark Witch’s reign and returning to our rightful places in time.” She paused, allowing her words time to sink in. “The final project: Destroy the Portal.”
