With Ares back and trained as a newly-minted Mortal Maker, Declan leads her back to Kris’ village only to find it has been destroyed - apparently by Isella's brother, the vampire lord Sifro. Declan sends Ares back to Diablo to gather reinforcements and as he sets off on his own to recon Sifro’s cave complex, but finds it abandoned. Realizing Sifro has tricked him, Declan hurries to Diablo believing Ares has once again been taken captive. But Sifro and his band of suckers have bigger plans that include a marriage ceremony, the invocation of Isella, and a final ceremony to ensure Sifro is the ultimate power in the universe. With time ticking down Declan and a new ally have to battle through mobs of suckers and figure out a way to destroy Sifro and Isella one last time.
The final battle - one that has spanned countless millennia across a thousand lifetimes - for Earth, and the universe itself, begins.
