A Fatal Taste of Luxury
(2026)(The first book in the Catered Crime Mystery series)
A Story by L A Marie
Everyone at Bellweather Manor has a secret. One of them is worth killing for.
Andrea Munson needs a miracle. With her catering business teetering on the edge of bankruptcy, an invitation to compete in the prestigious Golden Ladle Challenge could be the break that saves everything.
But Bellweather Manor is serving more than champagne and five-star cuisine.
Her fiercest competitor, an arrogant celebrity chef, has built his career on stolen recipes, ruined reputations, and a talent for making enemies. When he publicly accuses Andrea of copying one of his dishes, their rivalry becomes the talk of the competition.
Hours later, Warren turns up dead in the manor’s locked wine cellar.
And Andrea’s engraved knife is lying beside him.
With the police looking in her direction, Andrea trades her catering apron for amateur sleuthing. Behind Bellweather Manor’s glittering façade, she discovers bitter competitors, blackmail, family secrets, embezzlement, and enough motives to fill a banquet hall.
But someone is determined to send Andrea home—first by sabotaging her food, then by delivering an ominous warning.
To clear her name, Andrea must uncover the killer before the final banquet.
Because at Bellweather Manor, the most dangerous ingredient is the truth.
