Lilith can command the dead. Getting the living to cooperate is proving harder.

The System’s latest event sends her to Farwater Isle, a cursed island besieged by monstrous sea creatures. To protect her foothold there, she must build defenses and organize thousands of Lords who have little interest in taking orders—until the killing starts.

If her stronghold falls, she loses her status as a Lord. Permanently.

But even with enemies pouring out of the ocean, the island’s rulers are fighting over who gets to command the defenses. As rivalries turn bloody and the System introduces increasingly brutal rules, Lilith must secure enough power to protect herself and her allies.

And the island is only one of her problems.

Back home, the Gnomes have captured one of her people, while imperial mages prepare an operation that could trap her territory within their reach. Taking control of a human city could give her the influence she needs—provided her agents can keep their true loyalties hidden.

Her undead forces are growing. So are the risks of discovery.
