Martin Middleton was born in London. When his family emigrated to Australia in 1960, they lived in Inala, Brisbane. After attending Corinda State High School, Martin joined the army and spent most of his time at Lavarack Barracks in Townsville. Martin, his wife, and two children lived for wa while in Beaudesert, Queensland. They now live in Cairns. Martin has always been an avid reader of science fiction/fantasy novels, though since the success of his novels he wishes he had much more time to write.
